Bericocchi Sergio
Mattielli Sante, Founder of the company
The Bericocchi Sergio Farm is located at the foot of Monte Cimino, the highest peak of the Antiappennino laziale dei Cimini chain and of the entire Viterbo area, in the territory of the Municipality of Soriano nel Cimino, where the soil and climatic conditions make hazelnut cultivation one of the Italian excellence productions. The activity originates from the evolution of subsistence farming practiced by the Mattielli family, grandparents of the current owner Sergio who, after military service and work experiences outside the family, assisted by his wife Rosa and later by his sons Stefano and Alessio, gradually modernized and expanded hazelnut production over the years until in 2020 they had a company laboratory where the harvest is processed directly, thus enhancing all the characteristics of an excellent production like the "Tonda Gentile Romana" hazelnut, typical of Tuscia.
The Bericocchi family has always managed their lands in a natural and sustainable way, respecting the territory and its products, thus ensuring quality and safety, following step by step the organic production regulations for which the company received its first certification in the early 2000s. The entire production process, from cultivation to processing-sales, is entirely followed within the company by the trained family members, guaranteeing very high standards of quality and food safety.
